Back on the 31st of December 2012, Sarah and myself (also her mum Julie) found ourselves flying home to Melbourne, after Xmas in Vanuatu, and therefore just missing the chance to bring in the new year on foreign soil.
Fast forward 12 months and the 31st of December again finds us abroad, only this time we’re not flying home, so…
HAPPY NEW YEAR from Gili Trawangan!! (Our first NYE together in another country)
This small tropical island (sounds horrible, I know) lies just of the Indonesian island of Lombok and having already served us up many beers, will hopefully deliver us many sea turtles on tomorrows snorkeling expedition.
Currently unable to load photos to the blog (there’ll be a rush of updates when we get home), this has given me some time to reflect on 2013, the year that was.
And the years highlight? Actually meeting my distant Hungarian family during our hot, European tour.
Thanks for reading, and hopefully 2014 can be another good one!
